The Leader In You Vs The Leader In Need

LeaderHistory was made on Monday when all the leaders of a state university filled a large auditorium to be tutored by speakers.

I spoke alongside three lecturers. It was awesome. I give kudos to COMSSSA’s executives for putting together such a transforming program.

I spoke on 12 DISCIPLES OF LEADERSHIP.

Before you conclude that this week’s edition of MATTER THAT MATTERS is not for you, well IT IS!

And that’s because you are in fact a LEADER!

Being a leader is more of the mind, function and responsibility than of position. Some of the most respected leaders in history never held political positions; the likes of Dr. Martin Luther King and Mother Theresa..

Leadership is influence through inspiration without manipulation. It’s borne out of passion insulated by vision for a future far above the immediate world.

If you are not occupying any position right now, keep building the leader in you. Soon, the leader in you would attract the leader in need.

Keep working on your:

1. UNIQUENESS: To be a great leader you must generate ideas about yourself. You should look for the single spark of individuality that makes you different from other folks, and develop that for all its worth. It is your only real claim to importance. Find it! Cling to it! Cherish it! Develop it! It is the spark that will put force and sincerity into your leadership.

2. CREATIVITY: Great leaders have the ability to produce something out of nothing. It is about being able to solve a problem in the least amount of time with limited resources.

3. MANAGERIAL SKILLS: Now that you know you are a leader, you must be conscious of the fact that you are also a manager. Learn how to administer time, money and human resources.
