Prepare for opportunities

There is a significant relationship between personality and opportunities.

The opportunities that come our way are greatly influenced by who we are; the better we become, the better the quality of the opportunities that come our way.

Moreover, our capacities determine the extent to which we maximize opportunities that come our way. In the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30), Jesus tells the story of a master who entrusts his servants with different amounts of money. The servants who invested their money and earned a return were praised, while the one who buried his talent was reprimanded. This illustrates that our abilities and actions determine how much we can gain from the opportunities we receive.

To improve the results of our lives, we need to keep working on our personalities and increase our capacities to benefit from opportunities.
God is not wicked, and HE has played HIS part, let us play ours.

Scriptural references:

Proverbs 22:29 states, “Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 – “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”

Romans 12:2 – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Ecclesiastes 11:6: “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.” This verse encourages people to work diligently and consistently, trusting that their efforts will yield a fruitful harvest in due time.

Colossians 3:23-24 – “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Proverbs 1:5 – “Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance.”
