Some people when sighted are definitions of particular things. People cannot pretend their definition even their enemies, some people are not known by their names but they are described by what they do, just as so many names remains indelible in history and record books. Some are even immortalized; so many statues to prove their impact not like now that politics have baptized influence with power-flu. They are not far from us, we have them in our immediate environment, look around with your mind-dictionary and you will not be surprised that your friend, wife, husband, Dad, Mum, Pastor, and so on are vocabularies.
Lord Jesus Christ, the Biblical Joseph, Biblical Daniel, Biblical Rebecca, Biblical Ruth, Biblical David, David Oyedepo, Tunde Bakare , E. A. Adeboye, W. F. Kumuyi, Sam Adeyemi, Kanu Nwankwo, Barrack Obama, J. J. Okocha, Nuru Ribadu, Martin Luther King Jr., Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan, Nelson Mandela, Samuel Okwaraji, Dangote, Bill Gate, Tope Alabi, Obafemi Awolowo, Lionel Messi, Serena Williams, Michael Jackson, Abedi Pele, the list is endless. But you notice that a name is missing, may be your name?
The question at this juncture is ‘what make them’?Please, go through the list above again for clearer definition, if you cannot find the meaning to any, ask the person around you, you might find a name with more than one meaning, narrow it to one. Those names are not arranged in hierarchy. Good success is not in how much degree, but in delivery which is best achieved by self discovery! I had just finished my Ordinary level final examination (WAEC) when I was called upon to speak to the out-going youth corps of the whole local government (no certificate for the credibility because even the O’level result was not out then), I know a medical doctor in film industry, an electrical engineer in music industry, an architect on pulpit and so on. Be move by insight not just by sight.

The labour market is full of first class honour, second class honour, third class honour and ‘pass class honour’ produced from different higher institutions of learning (private and public), just this month (16th July, 2010) I was speaking in a seminar to final year student of a university and I told them that certificate is common garnish it with creativity, the labour market is survival of the fittest but the few who have discovered themselves are in charge of the market. Smallest is the womb for greatness, let not the fear of failure embarrass your potential. Failure should not be a treat to your self exploration.David Cameron said in the article named “The Most Powerful Force in the Universe” “Your ideas, visions and dreams, whatever they may be, are the prophecies of what you shall one day become and achieve. You can predict your outer life tomorrow by looking at your inner self today. You can change your tomorrow by changing your inner self today.” Just as I said in a university on June 24th, 2010 at their SUG week, when you do it right you have high likelihood to have it right, idea is what you need to be who you want to be, on your journey from where you are to where you want to be, you need to discover where you belong, the world will seems crowed to you if you don’t carve your niche, be that unique person my God created you to be, don be like him or her, you are unique. I put it to you that this world will remain the way it is without your impact, your contribution is our joy.
My bible says ‘A man’s gift will make room for him’. It is no more hypothetical, the scarce control the market, anything common is just a must-have. Those with credentials are common but those who discovered themselves are scarce and control those with credentials of any category just like ‘garri’ (common Nigeria food) and gold (scarce). I assume you know I am not condemning looking for jobs,but am interested in you creating one, a banker who discovered himself as one will enjoy the work better than a frustrated computer engineer turned cashier. There is no limit to how a person who discovers himself can go; a man whodiscovers himself and develop daily will ‘never’ die. He will attract the favour of God and respect of his co-human, people will do every thing to associate with him.Except if thought in prison, Mandela never attend school of management, but he discover what is worth living for and till today he is a vocabulary in the dictionary of leadership. It is in YOU! We need you to make the world better for us.
Carve your own niche, in it is your wealth and influence. God had put riches in your reach; you are responsible for acquiring it. People will not reward for your intention but for your action and inventions. It is only those who discover themselves that are relevant to the kingdom. DEFINE YOURSELF! If your friend is on the hot-seat (who wants to be a millionaire?) and he is left with the life line (phone a friend), when will he call you? I challenge you today to be who you are created to be, when people complain tell them that is why am not you!
