Allow Yourself to Succeed

DSK ConsultIn the past 261 days of 2013 how many opportunities have you missed? Did any opportunity pass by while you were still doubting if it would work? Don’t tell me you were being careful not to make mistakes. Mistake itself teaches important life’s lessons. The biggest mistake you can make is doing nothing because were too scared to make mistakes.

My belief; in life I’ll not always be 100% sure it will work, but I am always 100% sure doing nothing won’t work either. Whatever the result, it will always end up just the way it should be. If I take a step forward, its either I succeed or I learn something. For me it’s Win-Win. After all, if I never act I will be left standing in the same spot for long.

Do it anyway, allow yourself to succeed.

1. Invest in YOU! Invest time, energy and money in yourself every day. If today is colourful it is as a result of the work done yesterday. To make tomorrow even more colourful, design it today.

When you invest in yourself, you can never lose, and over time you will change the trajectory of your life.  You are simply the product of what you know.

The more time, energy and money you spend acquiring pertinent knowledge, the more control you have over your life.

2. Focus on the PRIZE: Those who said life is a game assumed that every game has its rules, and you can only choose the game, and not the rules. You choose the game and inherit the rules. In life, there must be price before a prize, you either pay or someone else pays.

There’s something about focus that begins with a resolve to do the needful for what it is worth regardless of the odds. Everything great comes with a price tag,and of course you might face challenges. Increase your personal effectiveness and don’t stop until you breast the tape.

3. Train YOU! Only those who are trained will reign for long. Self-disciple is an important feature in any field of life. Unless a man puts himself under mental discipline, he will never develop the forces in him that are valuable to the commercial world. In the journey to greatness, character is collateral and credit facility.

The Lord will make you sensitive to every opportunities to be great in life in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
