Give your health a boost

Last week edition of MATTER THAT MATTERS emphasized the importance of exercise to our health; it helps in burning off excess fat and calories in other to maintain a healthy body weight, relieves tension, reduces stress, builds your self confidence, enhances your overall well being, and helps you enjoy life more. It reduces your risk of developing serious illnesses like coronary heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Being healthy is a serious business, to give your health a boost;

1. Rest appropriately: Resting is not an option; you either rest consciously or be laid to rest when unconscious. God does, Jesus Christ did even in the storm. As you strive to impact lives, or pursue money in the hustle and bustle of everyday living create time to rest. Sleep appropriately, learn to manage stress effectively. Take time to laugh, play with friends and family members.

2. Eat right: A lot of health problems develop when right kind of diet is neglected; hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Limit your intake of fats and oil, salt and refined sugars. Don’t eat too much of any one type of food and don’t restrict yourself to any particular kind of diet. If you are not fasting, breakfast is very important. Drink plenty of water, your body is 60-65% water.

3. Pray fervently: ‘Except the LORD builds the house, they labour in vain that who build it.’

If you lose your money, but you have sound health and time, you have a better chance of making more money in life. But, if health is lost all is gone.
