After speaking at the Winners’ Campus Fellowship on Thursday (18/04/2013) on BUILDING STAMINA FOR A BETTER FUTURE, one of the questions asked was similar to that which a young man asked Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:20
‘I’ve done all that. What’s left’ (MSG).
He asked; ‘If I’ve been practicing about 60% of what you preached about yesterday, what else do I need to do in order to take my place in the future’
And my response was; ‘Improve on those 60% and integrate the remaining 40% NOW into your life’.
To leave the crowed to be crowned, you must
1. DISCOVER YOUR TALENT(s): Talent is the natural, innate endowment or ability. It is a gift from God. It grows in its effectiveness with use. Not necessarily in music, act, art, writing, speaking, etc it might be intelligence, teaching etc. Don’t be lost in the crowd, there must be something that sets you apart. No talent is small, When you discover your talent, refine it, honed it, developed it and build enterprise around it. And don’t port
2. KEEP ACQUIRING SKILLS: Skill is taught, craft and technique. Talent is not enough, learn how to think critically, analytically, arbitrarily. Solve problems and innovate with speed. When you discover your talent, keep acquiring skills to make your talent a blessing to the world and make you acceptable in the market where your money is.
3. BE KNOWN: ‘No one after he has lighted a lamp covers it with a vessel or puts it under a couch’, don’t just add skills to your talents, let the world appreciate God for you. Let people know all that you can do. Every ability (natural and acquired) without visibility is a disability to humanity. Only your known ability can write your name on the sands of time.
